Born into a family of winegrowers, Agathe Bursin took over the family estate in Westhalten in Alsace in 2001.  The vineyard covers 6 hectares, including 0.8 hectares planted with red grapes: 100% pinot noir and 5.2 hectares planted with white grapes: gewurztraminer (21%), muscat à petits grains blancs (6%), pinot blanc (8%), pinot gris (21%), riesling (30%), sylvaner (6%) and other white grape varieties (8%). The vines are around forty years old on average.

More than a third of the family estate is located on the Zinnkoepflé Grand Cru, with its limestone and sandstone soil.  Domaine d'Agathe Bursin offers all seven Alsace grape varieties and produces around 35,000 bottles a year. The vines are grown using non-certified biodynamic methods. The grapes are harvested by hand. The white wines are matured in vats and the reds in oak barrels. Domaine Agathe Bursin offers fresh, dry wines with aromas of lemon and mint. The wines from Zinnkoepflé are more spicy and floral, and can be laid down for a long time.
