One of the 8 Grands Crus of the Côte de Beaune, its 11.86 ha are located in the 2 communes of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, on the lower part of the upper half of the south-east-facing slope. A neighbour of the other famous Grand Cru, Montrachet, produced exclusively from Chardonnay on one of the best limestone soils in the region, its great white wines have aromas of hawthorn, acacia and honeysuckle, evolving towards honey and candied citrus fruit with age.
