Domaine Raquillet has been run by François Raquillet and his wife Emmanuelle in Burgundy for almost 25 years. Domaine Raquillet covers 10 hectares, ¾ of which are planted with Pinot Noir for the production of red Burgundy wines, mainly in the Mercurey appellation. The success of Domaine Raquillet lies in the reduction in yields. The red wines are matured for between 12 and 18 months, compared with a dozen months for Burgundy whites. The Mercurey 1er cru wines produced by François and Emmanuelle Raquillet include Peuillets, Veleys, Vasées and above all Clos L'Evêque and Les Naugues. The latter two are considered to be the highest quality in the Mercurey appellation. A white Rully 1er cru Grésigny is also produced in the neighbouring Rully appellation.
