Run for many years by Claude Dugat, he has now handed over to his 3 children. The estate's wines are concentrated, fruity, fleshy and fairly oaky. With the arrival of the children, the Claude Dugat estate has modernised, with a more delicate style and less marked ageing.

The estate produces three Grands Crus: Charmes Chambertin, Griotte Chambertin and Chapelle Chambertin. Chapelle Chambertin is particularly appreciated by the critics, notably by the RVF green guide, which describes it as a wine that reveals a multitude of black fruits on the nose, a full-bodied, straightforward, elegant, refined, deep and harmonious wine, rated 19/20. These wines have a long ageing potential of over 15 years, and the best-known vintages from the Claude Dugat estate are 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005 and 2002. Among the 1er Crus, the 2014 Gevrey Lavaux St Jacques stands out for its ripe fruit and powerful, well-coated tannins, marked by ageing. A Gevrey Chambertin and a red Burgundy are also on offer, the latter described as a wine with a soft mouthfeel, luscious, crisp fruit and persistence.
