Located in the commune of Morey Saint Denis, Domaine Magnien, headed by Frédéric in the 5th generation, covers 26 hectares, 1.3 of which are devoted to white Burgundy. The vines, planted on limestone and clay-limestone soils, are mostly vinified biodynamically. The Frédéric Magnien estate has 40 appellations, including 6 red Burgundy Grands Crus and 1 white Grand Cru, the famous Corton Charlemagne.

For the red Grands Crus, Domaine Magnien produces Bonnes Mares, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Charmes Chambertin, Latricières Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux. The 2014 vintage, particularly successful for the Charmes Chambertin appellation, reveals a straightforward, clean and very long wine, very representative of the cru and highly rated 17.5/20 by the Revue des Vins de France. These wines have an ageing potential of over 15 years in the cellar. The Domaine Frédéric Magnien also produces fifteen Premier Crus from Chambolle Musigny, Gevrey Chambertin, Morey Saint Denis, Vosne Romanée, etc. The Chambolle Musigny 1er cru les Feusselottes, which had a fine vintage in 2012, has a beautiful colour, complex aromas and tannic support, a complete wine, rated 16.5/20 by the Bettane & Desseauve guide.
