Founded in 1963 by Colette and Gustave Gros, Bernard Gros took over from Gustave when he died in 1984. Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur is located in Vosne Romanée. There are several other "Gros" estates, all descended from Louis Gros: Anne Gros in particular and Anne Françoise Gros. Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur covers the appellations Grands Crus Clos Vougeot, Echezeaux, Grands Echezeaux, Richebourg and 6 Premiers Crus: Nuits saint Georges 1er cru les Cras, 5 Vosne Romanée 1er cru (aux Brûlées, Chaumes, Petits Monts, aux Reignots, Suchots), 3 Vosne Romanée Village and 1 Nuits saint Georges.

The estate covers 19 hectares of vines, including 3 hectares of white. Among the grand crus of the Côte de Nuit, the Clos de Vougeot Musigni 2010 is very open and precise in its aromas. The whole is complete, with particularly velvety tannins. (17.5/20 Battane & Desseauve). The 2012 Echezeaux is a wine with notes of toasted new wood, very supple, suave, velvety, sensual and long. The charm is immediate but will hold over time. The Grands Echezeaux 2012 has a very delicate texture, extremely complex and long, and is very pleasant when young! The 2014 Richebourg is dominated by violet aromas. The formal construction of this wine is very accomplished. It combines sensuality and intensity. The Cuvée Vosne Romanée 1er cru is the estate's 2nd red wine: great finesse and a very confident style, dominated by floral aromas, obvious breed and length, remarkable mouthfeel. The Cuvée Vosne Romanée 2014 is fleshy, full-bodied and has a fruity finish. Finally, the Haute Côtes de Nuits 2009 is the most seductive and creamy wine in its sector, as is often the case, giving immediate pleasure at a low price. These wines can be kept for between 7 and 12 years. Here are the best red vintages from Domaine Gros Frères et Sœurs: 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2002. For white Burgundy wines, the estate's first wine is the Cuvée Hautes Côtes de Nuits. In 2012, this wine has a discreetly woody, fruity (yellow fruit) nose, with a fleshy, honeyed and generous palate, balanced by a lively, taut finish. It can be kept for 3 to 4 years.
