The vines are propagated by massal selection and the estate's current vines are the result of pre-phylloxera selection. The grapes are harvested by hand and the vinification is traditional. The white Burgundy wines are matured for between 12 and 18 months and the red Burgundy wines for between 16 and 18 months before bottling. The style of Vincent Bouzereau wines is precise and consistent. The Puligny Montrachet 1er cru les Folatières cuvée, made from the Chardonnay grape, has a very mineral note due to the limestone debris. It is an elegant, pure wine that becomes more complex with age. The Volnay 1er cru Les Champans is one of Vincent Bouzereau's flagship wines. This is a great Volnay from two micro parcels on the Volnay hillside. Extremely precise, with a deep red colour and brilliant highlights, this wine gives off notes of small red fruits such as raspberry and Morello cherry. On the palate, it is silky and refined, with a long finish and remarkable tannins, promising a fine evolution. Vincent Bouzereau's Volnay village has a bright ruby colour and aromas of violets, redcurrants and cherries. This wine has a delicate, nuanced concentration with a lovely freshness on the palate and a warm finish. The Meursault 1er cru les Charmes is full-bodied and persistent on the palate. Vincent Bouzereau's red Burgundy is also very accessible and should be drunk within two years.
