Nestled in the heart of the Marne Valley, in Oeuilly, the small Champagne Tarlant house is one of the most dynamic Champagne winegrowers of its generation with its 13 ha. The Tarlant family has lived on this Champagne terroir since 1687, Benoit and his sister Melanie Tarlant represent the 12th generation to succeed one another on this family estate in Champagne. Benoit Tarlant, winemaker at the Tarlant estate, works two thirds of his champagnes in the woods, with long aging, giving them scope, power and depth. Tarlant champagnes offer a remarkable balance on the palate, with a vinous frame.

We find in these Champagne terroir a fragmented, authentic approach, expressing the singular interpretation of each parcel with very little dosed Champagne cuvees like the Zero cuvee, full of freshness and liveliness. Champagne Tarlant was one of the pioneers in the 1970s to produce no added sugar champagnes. The Cuvee Louis de Champagne Tarlant, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, is undeniably a Vins & Millesimes favorite (tasted and approved!). We find this cuvee on blends of different vintages such as 1996/1997/1998/1999 and more recently 2002/2003. A cuvee of Champagne worthy of the greatest tables, it offers intensity, vigor, excellence, on an elegant and creamy texture. Melanie Tarlant, head of marketing at the Tarlant estate, has been able to promote Maison Tarlant's champagnes all over the world. International guides: Guide Parker, Revue des Vins de France, Bettane & Desseauve…. are extremely fond of their work! You will enjoy the cuvees of Champagne Blanc Zero Brut Nature, Brut Reserve, Prestige Millesime, Blanc de Meuniers - not grafted, Chardonnay and of course Champagne Tarlant Cuvee Louis but also Champagne Rose Zero Brut Nature. Benoit Tarlant has also been experimenting with amphora winemaking tests for a few years, after falling in love with the white wines of the Foradori estate in Italy.
