The Hubert Lignier estate has been in the Lignier family for 5 generations. Located in Morey Saint Denis, the Domaine Lignier produces 32 sensual and fleshy wines, including ten Villages wines, eleven Premiers Crus, and three Grands Crus in Charmes Chambertin, Griotte Chambertin, and Clos de la Roche. The 6 hectares of vines that grow on clay-limestone and limestone soils are cultivated in accordance with biodynamic principles.

Among the Burgundian Red Grands Crus produced by the Domaine Hubert Lignier, the Griotte Chambertin is characterized by notes of violet and rose, and a fruitiness in the mouth which will tend to become spicier after a few years of ageing in the cellar. The Clos de la Roche is an emblematic wine from the Domaine Lignier estate which gave particularly great wines in 2009. It reveals a beautiful, distinguished, floral and spicy nose. It is a full-bodied wine with interesting tannins, offering a great ageinf potential. The Bettane & Desseauve guide gave it the great mark of 17/20. As for the Charmes Chambertin 2014, the Wine Advocate guide thought really well of it with a 94/100 mark. The ageing capacity of the Domaine Hubert Lignier wines is around 15 years, and the most successful vintages are 2015, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2002. The Domaine Lignier Hubert also produces Premiers Crus: Gevrey Chambertin Premier cru, Perrières, Morey Saint Denis Premier cru, les Chaffots, Morey Saint Denis village, as well as a Saint Romain and an Aligote for the whites Brugundy.
