The 2014 Chablis Beauregard is still a little reserved but precise, with a structured profile, flavours of lemon zest and juicy sap (17/20 RVF). Thomas Pico's 2014 Chablis 1er cru Butteaux has more firmness and scope. It is a vibrant wine, with good energy and fruit. The ageing is meticulous (17.5/20 RVF). The Chablis Premier Cru Côte de Jouan 2012 has very pretty fruit and a full-bodied palate. You bite into the flesh of the apricot. The palate is full and dense, with fine acidity and very good balance (16/20 B&D). Pattes Loup's 2014 Chablis Vaillons is made from purchased grapes and has been produced for three years (16.5/20 RVF). These wines are best enjoyed young, but can be aged for between 5 and 8 years, or even longer for the best vintages. In the Chablis village appellation, Domaine Patte Loup's 2012 wine is chiselled on the palate, with very pure aromas of juicy fruit. It's a delicious, mouth-watering and irresistible wine. It even has the potential to improve in bottle, which is rare for a village (15.5 B&D). This is a wine that can be kept for 3 to 5 years. Note the best vintages from Thomas Pico's Pattes Loup estate: 2014, 2012, 2010, 2008, 2005, 2002. This estate receives very good ratings and reviews (2 stars RVF and 3 stars B&D). The estate also acquired a new winery in 2014, which should help the wines to progress even further. An estate to watch!
